I know it sounds cliche, but as another year comes to a close, I can’t help but reflect on all that I’ve learned in 2017.

I’ve learned that my inner voice keeps telling me I am meant for something bigger, and she is getting persistently louder. So I resolve to listen to where she takes me.

I’ve learned that travel gives me life! So (as always), I resolve to visit three places I’ve never been before.

I’ve learned that, over the years, I’ve somehow attributed my personal worth to how hard I worked, how much I could accomplish in any given day, and how much money I earned. So I resolve to redefine how I perceive and pursue success and happiness.

I’ve learned that I spread myself too thin and place crazy expectations on myself. So I resolve to fail more, stop playing it so safe, and saying “no” more (without feeling bad about it).

I’ve learned that I don’t make my mental, emotional, and physical health enough of a priority. So I resolve to set more intentions, eliminate distractions, get more sleep, wake up earlier, eat better, drink less, and exercise regularly.

I’ve learned that too many people lack understanding, empathy, and compassion. So I resolve to keep fighting for the people who need it most and speaking loudly against injustice.

I’ve learned yet again that tomorrow is never guaranteed. So I resolve to vocalize how much I love and spend quality time with the people I am so lucky to call my friends and family.

I’ve learned what the love and support of friends and family really means. So I resolve to marry the shit out of Shea and have the wedding of the century!

People often view January 1 as a new beginning – and in many ways it is. But I’m looking forward to continuing on this path and molding my life into a story more and more beautiful with each passing day.

Wishing you all a 2018 full of happiness.
